Meet Your 2025 Coaching Staff

Jacob Harden Varsity Coach
Jacob Harden enters year four as Head Coach of the Linton-Stockton Baseball team. Before coaching, Harden attended Northview High School where he was a 4-Year Varsity Letter Award Winner. Harden went on to play collegiate baseball at Vincennes University and Indiana University Southeast, and was a walk on at Indiana State University under Coach Mitch Hannah. As a coach, Harden has been an assistant at Clarksville High School, Northview High School, and Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. In the summer, Coach Harden is an assistant for the Terre Haute Rex of the Prospect League (Collegiate Wood Bat League). Last season (2024), the Rex finished runner up in the league, their highest finish since winning the championship in 2018. In Coach Harden’s first year (2022), the Linton-Stockton Baseball Team won the first Regional Championship in program history. Last season, the Miners won the Sectional Championship. Harden is also the 6th Grade ‘Project Lead The Way’ Teacher.

Shane Husband JV Coach
Shane enters his third season on the Linton Baseball staff and serves as the Junior Varsity Coach. Shane is a graduate of Shakamak Jr/Sr High School. He is a Captain at the Terre Haute Fire Department.

Cory Anderson Pitching Coach
Cory is a 2019 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. He participated in Varsity Baseball and Varsity Tennis while in high school. He was a member of the 2016 and 2017 Sectional Championship baseball teams. Cory earned SWIAC All-Conference in 2017 and 2018. He was also named to the Greene County Daily World All Area Team in 2017, 2018, and 2019. He was also named to the SWIAC All-Conference Tennis Team in 2018. Cory went on to play baseball for the University of Southern Indiana. While at USI, he made 34 appearances out of the bullpen for the Screaming Eagles. Cory earned his first collegiate save in the victory over Western Illinois University, throwing a third of an inning, securing the first series victory for USI in NCAA Division 1 Baseball. He was named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2023 and 2024. He earned Academic All-GLVC honors in 2022. Cory graduated Cum Laude from USI in 2023, with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management with a minor in Sport and Business Studies. He earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from USI in 2024. He currently works at Crane NSA and residents in Linton with his dog, Bear.

Craig House – Assistant Coach
Craig is a 1993 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. He has been involved in coaching for the past 21 years and has been a part of the Linton Miner Baseball Program for the last 10 years. Craig has spent 22 years as an underground coal miner and currently works for the Department of Labor. He says “I have basically been a Miner my entire life”.

Dustin Pigg – Assistant Coach
Dustin enters his fourth season helping the Miners. Dustin is the President of the Youth League, and is a liaison from the league to the high school team. Having Dustin aboard has helped grow relations between the youth program and the high school program. Dustin is a graduate of Dugger and has been actively coaching future Miners.

Kent Bass – Assistant Coach
Kent brings a wealth of experience coaching high school baseball. For 25 years, he was an Assistant Coach at Northview High School. During that time, they won seven Sectional Championships and one Regional Championship in Class 4A. Coach Bass also had a one year stint as Head Coach at Cloverdale High School. Coach Bass was one of Coach Harden’s childhood coachesand is excited to help the Linton Miners.

Coach Jacob Harden

Jacob Harden completed his third year as Head Coach of the Linton-Stockton Baseball team in 2024. Before coaching, Harden attended Northview High School where he was a 4 Year Varsity Letter Award Winner. Harden went on to play collegiately at Vincennes University and Indiana University Southeast.
