(Mrs. Terrell)
I’m nominating Mrs.Terrell for the Teacher contest because she is an outstanding person and teacher overall. In High-School, kids look for a teacher who helps them and makes them feel safe. The one teacher who has always been nice to me was Mrs.Terrell. She has helped me accomplish so many achievements ranging from getting a job to getting into college. She asks me how my days are and if I am okay. She makes sure I am able to do school activities that I want to do. She answers every question I have and never makes me feel bad for asking. I have seen her help hundreds of students with just being theirselves. Mrs. Terrell has a warm-felt room where as soon as you walk in , you feel happy. She doesn’t get much credit at all with all she does for the school and for all the kids she’s helped. The latest thing she organized was the Greene County Art Show and she did it all from her free time!!! She is the most self-less person I’ve met and if anyone deserves it , it’s her!
— By Grace Secoy

(Mrs. Mathis)
She makes learning fun, and she always makes me laugh.
— By Maddi Harris

(Deena Wickliffe)
I am in her second period Anatomy class. I moved from Dugger to Linton for my senior year. It was a huge change for me but Deena made me feel at ease with adapting to such a new school. She has taught me many new skills. I can comprehend things better and I’ve became better at being a note taker. She has always pushed me to do my best and I am so appreciative for that. She is very understanding and is always there to answer any questions. She always takes her students into consideration. This is her last year as a teacher due to her retiring. I will always remember her and be so thankful for all of the help she has given me. She is truly inspiring. She motivates me to do better as a student every day.

(Mrs. Powell)
My son Easton dreaded school in the past and would get sick everyday before school. This year is different , he enjoys school and is learning, despite the hardships he faces, because his teacher is amazing. He always says how much he loves her and how she makes him feel special and smart even when he is struggling. We are so very grateful for Mrs. Powell and can’t thank her enough!!!!

— By Bubba Chancy

(Laurie Fulk)
She was one of my daughter’s 5th grade teachers, and now she’s my nephew’s 2nd grade teacher. She helps each kid be unapologetically themselves and never bats an eye at the crazy that can come from them. If it wasn’t for her pushing so much my nephew never would have gotten the IEP that he needed. She has a heart of gold and Linton-Stockton wouldn’t be the same without her!

(Jennifer Ledune)
I am nominating Mrs. Ledune because she puts extraordinary effort into her lesson plans and her genuine caring attitude toward her students. While my child had her she improved significantly in many areas of study. She holds students to a high standard of education. While providing a high level curriculum, she keeps her students engaged and motivated to learn. Not only in the classroom, but outside of school she shows she cares about her students by chatting with them when she sees them and asks how they are doing. Recently, I seen a Facebook post where she attended a sporting event for some of her students. You could see in their faces they loved having her there. Every year she makes a scrap book for her students with pictures and things they’ve done throughout the year. In the scrapbook, she includes a sweet letter from her. She definitely goes above and beyond to show her students she truly care. She makes a difference in her students’ lives, and I feel like she should be considered for this award.
